On your first lesson with us you will be asked to provide your Provisional Driving Licence (photocard).
You can apply for licence up to 3 months before your 17th birthday however you will not be able to start driving a car on a public road or take you theory test until the licence becomes valid on your 17th birthday.
You can apply for a provisional licence online from the offical gov.uk site or alternatively you can get a 'Form D1' from you local Post Office to complete and send by post.

Before you take your first lesson, you will also be asked to read a car number plate made after 1 September 2001 from a distance of 20.5 metres to ensure your eyesight meets the minimum requirement as set out by the DVLA.
If you do need to wear glasses or contact lenses please ensure you have them every time you drive to meet the 'standards of vision for driving'.
